We provide highly specialized, evidence-based counseling for children, teens, and adults struggling with OCD or Anxiety. Real relief is possible, in person in Scottsdale or online anywhere in AZ.
Counseling designed to break the cycle of anxiety, obsessive thinking and compulsive behaviors.
It often feels like you're constantly clouded with uncertainty, overly critical of your own thoughts, and desperate for relief. If you are experiencing any of the following, we can help:
Experiencing intense anxiety or panic that feels entirely out of control.
Having intrusive, unwanted thoughts that cause deep personal distress.
Feeling trapped in compulsive patterns, reassurance-seeking, or rituals.
Endlessly searching for certainty but never feeling truly satisfied.
We help you understand what’s keeping you stuck and learn practical, evidence-based ways to respond differently. Instead of avoiding triggers, seeking reassurance, or getting caught in endless “what ifs,” you’ll build skills to face uncertainty with greater confidence and get back to the life that matters to you. Because we specialize in OCD and anxiety, we know how to identify the patterns keeping you stuck and target them with the right treatment. The goal is lasting change, so anxiety and OCD have less control over your life.

Schedule a ConsultationHi, everyone. I’m Dr. Ali. I’m a clinical psychologist, and I’m also the clinic director here at BrainBody OCD Counseling. If you’re someone who’s struggling with OCD, with anxiety, with intrusive thoughts, you’re in the right place.
So I wanted to make this video just to take a couple minutes to explain to you what we offer here at BrainBody OCD Counseling and what sets us apart from other clinics. So the first thing to know is that if you’re struggling with OCD or anxiety, you want to seek out a specialist.
The reason being is that a lot of traditional therapies can make OCD and anxiety worse because they’re very focused on trying to control symptoms. So doing things like thought stopping, trying to reframe your intrusive thoughts directly, using visualization or progressive muscle relaxation to escape distress can all make it worse because we’re focused on trying to control the symptoms.
So the therapies that we provide as a specialty clinic are therapies such as Exposure and Response Prevention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other mindfulness-based therapies. The way these are different is that in these therapies, we’re very focused on changing the way you relate to your thoughts rather than trying to stop or control them.
And we have found that doing this in a very systematic way—so you’re going to work with your therapist step-by-step. Step one isn’t going in and feeling, you know, worse with exposure. Step-by-step, to really train your brain to learn that you don’t have to fear these things.
And every time you’re avoiding something or engaging in a compulsion, you’re inadvertently training your brain that you do have to fear it. So our therapists that you see on the website are all highly trained and experienced in treating OCD and anxiety.
And to take the first step to get set up with our clinic, you’ll want to hit the Schedule Now button. That’ll take you to a page where you have the option of either scheduling directly if you know which therapist you want to schedule with, or you can fill out our therapist match form and we can match you based on your answers with the therapist that’s best for you.
We look forward to supporting you.

Reflections shared by previous clients about their experience with BrainBody.
“I found BrainBody while searching for OCD treatment and honestly didn’t know what to expect, but the experience completely changed how I understand my OCD. The explanations finally clicked, and the practical work in therapy helped me stop feeling ruled by every intrusive thought. It’s the first time I’ve felt hopeful in years.”
“What I liked most was that treatment never felt overwhelming. My therapist helped me understand the OCD cycle, take each step at a pace I could manage, and practice responding differently when fears showed up. Over time, I felt more confident and in control of my life.”
“I’ve been to a few therapists before, but nothing really helped with the intrusive thoughts. At BrainBody Wellness, I finally felt like someone understood what I was going through. My therapist didn’t just listen—she gave me skills. I’m finally making progress and not feeling like OCD controls everything.”
